What is the difference between Chads Gap and Pyramid Gap?
Yeah. The Broken ankles are a dead giveaway you're at chad's. If you see a big mound of snow that looks like a pyramid...Guess what you're probably...DING! DING! DING! at Pyramid gap!
they didn't really, that's a product of a long string of running jokes that got riffed on after ski patrol blew up the kicker tanner and jon made in 2004 (2005? i forget) cause tanner broke his ankles.
pyramid and chad's are very close and look similar but chad's is like 30 feet bigger and a good bit gnarlier
Someone told me that the combined explosion of ankles inside boots and the explosion from ski patrol RPGS was roughly the size of an atomic bomb. Word on the street atleast.

pyramid is like 30 feet shorter, and generally mellower
they look pretty similar but pyramid's inrun comes from the side more, and is lower and flatter. also, another easy tell is that tree next to the landing on chad's is actually on the landing hill, while the tree near pyramid's landing hill is off it a bit. one more easy way to tell is that in most shots of chad's, you can see down the valley behind the gap, and mt superior..sometimes even the roads near alta. pyramid, the background in shots is usually just snow and maybe the cliff band looker's left of the gap
chad's. notice how the inrun comes straight down at the gap, and there's a shelf where the kicker is built

beyond that, just google the two a bunch (and put in newschoolers sometimes, this has been discussed a lot and im too busy right now to list links for you) and youll start to easily tell the difference. and feel free to ask more specific questions
