Replying to Spraypainting my POC helmet, safe or not?

Helloz,

just bought myself a helmet the other day, unfortunatly they didnt have the color i wanted in the size i needed so i ended up with this bright yellow helmet which i frankly aint that stoked on.

Soo, I just bought myself a can of black mat spraypaint to use on for spraying the helmet, have anyone done this before? Ive read the the solvent in the spray can eat away the plastic or something like that and make the helmet useless, i kinda doubt that, but can anyone back that up?

if anyone have any experience doing this i would appreciate some feedback on the subject :)
