I agree with most of your article, but get your facts straight, if a racer is only spending 5000 dollars then they're not a real racer, my equipment alone two years ago cost me almost $6000. The reason racers get there own runs is because they pay big money to rent the run out for the day to race or train. But Jon ollson was right when he said that most skiers now don't have a skiing background, which takes away from the sport making it look even more one dimensional.
