I understand you needa throw your spin harder to get the 9 around but when I tried it I threw the cork harder and ended up one and a half corking. Landed on my face. Do I want to throw more horizontal than the cork sev?
Throw it more horizontal. Because you're throwing the spin harder, the cork will also come around. In cork sevens, you spin it corked more because you're not throwing it as hard. It's hard to explain, but yeah, basically what you said.
cork 9s are a weird trick I like to set the spin a bit harder than a 7 but when you open up like you would after a cork 7 keep spinning into 9. I dunno if that makes any sense but thats what I do
steve stepp told me that when you throw cork 9's, its pretty much the same as a 7, but almost think of the 9 as a quick shifty-type deal at the end. also, throw the spin a little bit harder.
My cork sev's I go pretty inverted initially, when I throw my cork 9's i spot my landing for the 7 and kind of fall into my spot for the 9. The cork 7 sets you up nice to bring it around for a 9.
