Not "hey look at these bindings" but the company Look. My friend told me to get a pair of their bindigns, but I can't figure out which are racing and which are park. Anyone have any experience with them?
I personally hate all of look's bindings except the pivot in the park. They're heavy, un-reliable, and the brakes are garbage. Myself and everyone I know has had issues with their brakes on the px series. In my opinion, the px series of bindings are the second worst bindings in park skiing (second only to the Maker M Free series). There are so many other good bindings out there, even around the same price (although, I highly suggest spending extra cash and buying really good bindings that will last a long time...worth the investment).
Pivots are good...I have them on a pair of my skis now and rode them all season last season too, they're very reliable.
Like above, look into the Tyrolia Peak mold (aka 4FRNT Deadbolt and Head Mojo - same binding mold, different brand), just as cheap as the PX series, lightweight, and way more reliable (not as good as the Pivot/FKS binding, but still very good).
Rossi axial 120s and Look px 12s are the same binding and in my experience are both great bindings. I would ski one of those over any Salomon binding any day. They are a little heavy but super burly. I've skied them everywhere from park to steeps and my pairs have been great.
