I've been making edits for a while now but I never took it seriously. So I finally decided to actually attempt to make a quality edit. It was actually for an opening week video contest (sadly I did not win). This was filmed in two days and edited the night before the video was due for the contest (procrastination). I work as a ski instructor on saturdays and sundays so it's extremely hard to find time to film. The riding is mediocre but I mainly want criticism on the editing/filming. Here's the video.
I thought it was a pretty good edit, but the background noise and talking in the beginning shots with the waxing and blower were drowning out the music. Just muting those clips to hear the music better would help. Also using some more transition shots would help too.
i thought the intro was pretty sick but the first half lacked excitement to me... however the second half was pretty funny and pretty good just the first half was boring to me... just my opinion but keep up the good work!

yeah i totally agree with what you said about the first half. i didn't really know what direction i was trying to go in with the edit. another problem was that i started editing the video with only the clips from the beginning and because stuff was synced with the music, i couldn't really mix things up.
I really liked your song choice. apart from that i'd recommend making a glidecam. Some of the shots were shaky and a few seemed dark. I love the vibe though and the skiing was perfect.
The skiing is only bad when everyone in the edit can barely do a 180 and usually straight airs everything.
Thanks dude. And i actually bought a legit glidecam with money i've saved up. i'm planning on finishing some filming for another edit this weekend. i'll be sure to post it.
