I have had two of these critters so far.

Yes, if you get a nice one then it will be awesome. If it likes you, the hedgehog will simply lay down the spikes and hang out with you. If it's not happy, it's like trying to cuddle with a sea urchin. Unfortunetly, they are not always happy...... Also, they are nocturnal. This is the biggest downside. Whenever you want to play with your hedghog, he wants to sleep. Whenever he wants to hang out with you, then you're probably asleep.
