First park edit of the season please critique

I tried to use magic bullets a little bit so I'd like a critique on that. I'm pretty sure I blow out some of the shoots but I just want some other opinions. I'd also really appreciate a critique of the edit overall
1) the vibe
2) color correction with magic bullets (only on a few shots and keep in mind I'm colorblind this was a pretty difficult task)
3) Flow of the edit

I really appreciate any feedback preferably constructive criticism.

Balance your white and blacks levels before you color grade, aka color correction.

by aka color correction i meant balancing white and black balances = color correction. using magic bullets to improve your image is color grading.

yes. very common for people to switch the terms color correction for color grade, i even do it sometimes.

but OP, making your image look correct and accurate (good exposure, blacks are really black, whites are really white)=color correction

making your image look cool=color grading

while you can do color correction in magic bullet, i prefer to use the 3-way color corrector in final cut first because it's simple, then move on to magic bullet for grading

hmmm so i have windows and I now know that I need to color correct first then use magic bullets.

As far as flow goes I felt it was a good edit, with a good variety of skiing, all the skiers brought a little something different and you captured that well. Some shots were shaky, but that was mostly follow shots off of jumps so understandable, maybe make a glidecam if you dont use one already.

Overall good edit! Keep it up man

I liked it alot. Sick job man. But as they all said above,color correct before your color grade!

First of all thanks for the feedback. Now I have to learn how to color correct. I'm using vegas pro which I know isn't the best software but I'm pretty sure it has color correcting capabilities but does anybody know how to color correct or tips? Maybe a site with the basics?

The flow was really good in my opinion. Like said above it was nice to see each person bring something new to the edit rather than the same thing. I don't really have the eye for all the color corrections but I thought it turned out pretty nice.
