A cancer thread...

Great news! I have never been directly involved with cancer, but my dad helps get drugs to cancer patients. Im happy for you and you aunt.

My grandfather died last year of lung cancer. He was diagnosed In November and passed in January. It's insane how fast something like that can happen. It has effected my life quite a bit. I grew up very close to my grandparents and he was more of a father than a grandfather. It was also the first death of a close family member. I've been picking myself up since. Still really hard to talk about but it also helps a lot.

Mom has breast cancer, although it's getting better. Best friend has an inoperable brain tumor. Praying hard for the latter.

my grandmother died of leukemia, my great uncle died of leukemia, and my great uncle died of melanoma

the hardest for me though was my 19 year old swiss friend who died recently of some rare form of cancer. the other deaths were when i was pretty young but this kid i knew really well and he was such a good guy. super funny, great artist, sick skier, and awesome kid and within 2 years he was gone yet he kept the highest spirits imaginable the whole time

damn man, good to hear. sadly my vet found a tumor in my dog and was put to sleep yesterday. it was hard to see her go but i know that she lived a good life. she was a great dog and was my only dog.

my sister had cancer my 10-12 grade of high school

true story, i know this kid chris who had cancer, then he got it cured or operated or some shit, i dont really know, i just remember neing really drunk at this party and him being like "yo, i beat fucking cancer, me, fucking beat cancer" and i was like "yeah dude! fuck cancer!" and he was like "YEAH!! KICKED CANCERS ASS!!" and i was all like "DUDE, YOU HAD CANCER, AND THEN YOU GAVE ABSOLUTELY NO FUCKS, YOU WERE JUST LIKE FUCK THIS CANCER!!!!!!!!" and then he was like "YEAH!!! FUCKING PUSSY ASS CANCER BITCH!!! FUCKING FUCK YEAH!!! I FUCKING ROCKED CANCERS WORLD!!!! JUST LITTLE OLD FUCKING ME, SHOWED CANCER HOW I FUCKING ROLL!!!!!!!!!!"


and then we did shots.

Speaking of MRIs i had one today for my jacked up shoulder. Does anyone know how the headphones they give you work inside the machine?

my dad is almost 2 years into remission from multiple myeloma. its a bone marrow cancer. its tough to go through, moving to seattle for 3 months so he could get a special stem cell transplant and shit...

lost a few to cancer. God help us find a cure. shit sucks. but congrats on the good news!
