As mentioned above, look into possibly getting two used pairs (in decent condition) for a price similar to what you would pay for a new set up. I
f you're thinking about getting used skis for primarily rails, I've found K2's park skis generally take rail abuse really well, along with Armada and Rossi. I've owned at least one pair of park skis, not all new, from these companies and they all performed great. If you're looking for a light ski with low swing weight, the best ski imo is the S4. I loved my S4's dearly for the fact that they held up to about 80ish days of hard abuse with just one small edge crack, they are really really light with low swing weight, and they have a nice medium flex.
