skiing here isn't anything special, especially coming from colorado. where would you move to here? best hills are probably granite peak and tyrol basin.

check out the WI regionals! Tight knit bunch of ice shredders. Granite peak in wausau and tyrol basin in mt horeb are imo the best parks in WI.

Yeah yeah yeah Tyrol and Granite like everyone will say... I also always enjoyed Devil's Head's park. They always had a good set-up minus the jumps.

nothing here is going to be even close to colorado but its got some good park and decent all mountian if you go way up north

Granite Peak is prolly the best.  Some of the small places are pretty fun though like up in the U.P... (not a far drive).  Norway is fun and has a nice park for its size.  This season it sucks though.  I ski at Pine once and awhile just cuz' my aunt lives there but it's tiny as hell and the park sucks.  Some of the locals shred though.  Umm and stay away from Ski Brule.  Fucking garbage.

Granite Peak is definitely the best in WI - the only thing that sucks about GP is the 700000 feet of flats at the bottom of every run. GP is in the Wassau (sp?) area.

I always like riding Cascade "Mountain", too. Otherwise Devils Head isn't too bad. Tyrol Basin definitely has the best Park setup.

In Northern IL you've also got Chestnut "Mountain", which is pretty nice. About 20 minutes from there is a place called Sundown "Mountain" - they've got a good park setup - nice jump line and a pipe.

You'll be disappointed though in comparison to CO, obviously, but it's better than nothing at all. Gotta make the most with what you've got, ya know?

I think it's spelled Wasau but I might be wrong lol.  But yeah for sure your best bet.

FML!  Lol I don't ride pipe so it doesn't bother me.  I just care about good jibs/boxes/rails etc.  Everyone likes different things though.

I ski sunburst just because it's close and the park is alright. More jibs than jumps, but the rails are usually set up nicely and aren't all ride-on which is legit. Way more boarders than skiers in the park, and be prepared to have your lines snaked by boarders because nobody calls their drops there. Still fun for what it is, and they have a bar which is a plus for me.
