on the 'clinic' issue, i did the morning clinics, and yes they do expect you to clinic all the time, but make it known that you're a park skier and that you will ski for yourself, dont be rude, but dont take their crap. other than first hour clinics, i dont think i did more than 5 other clinics in the last 4 years.
hook up with other skiers that ski park, or arent there being bitches to get their PSIA 3 certs, if there are other skiers your age, be a leader, and show the older skier that the 'young guns' can rip.
when i started there, noone there had heard of twins or sliding rails, park skiers did spreads, and snowboarders trashed you when yyou took the park lift.
today, if you start working at my mount. and have twins, they'll ask you if youve met crazy joe, the snowboarders ask if you'll ski with them, and everybody takes me (relativly) seriously.
just be a leader, especially if there are very few to no freeskiers.
