The countdown to Apple's 20 billionth app downloaded from the app store is in effect. It's kind of fun just to watch for a little bit. Person that downloads the 10 billionth gets a $10,000 iTunes gift card. Check it out.
Hahaha, this is ridiculous when it gets close you know how many people are gonna download an app, holy shit its gonna jump so far ahead, I doubt it will even hit the 10 billion mark
if 1,000 take 2.645 seconds, that means it takes 264.5 seconds for 100,000 apps to be bought. that translates into 4.4 minutes which is actually 4 minutes and 24 seconds.
this means that to download 1 million apps, it would take 2645 seconds which is 44.08 minutes which translates to 44 minutes and 5 seconds
at that point, only 14,000,000 more apps will need to be downloaded, to get to 10 billion. so, if 1 million takes 44 minutes and 5 seconds, it will take 617 minutes and 10 seconds to get to 10 billion.
that means it will take 10h16m55s to get to 10billion from 9,860,000,000.
it should get to 9,860,000,000 when i make this post leaving me 10h16m55s from the exact moment of this post, to buy the 10billionth
shit i clicked reply by accident making my last part false. i will click "reply" as soon as the timer reaches 9,985,700,000. leaving me exactly 13 minutes and 12 seconds to get to 9.986 billion, which should translate to exactly 10h30m7s from this post to get to 10billion
sorry for triple post but its necessary to do the math. SO, at 3:59:20AM the 10billionth app should be bought. so remember to be ready to purchase before that, so your transaction is completed at that moment of time
