you pretty much have to be the best or 'most marketable' to get a full-on oakley deal. Like Finn is sick, but he gets shit all from oakley compared to say Jon or Boyd.

yeah thats exactly right. i work my ass off and still get the most minimal amount of shit ever. the other guys feel bad and order extra things and hook me up with the stuff strokes won't, so it still ends up working out in the end, except it pisses me off that i get a ton of shit published with all their gear and get nothing in return, not even a 'thanks for repping our shit'

if you are looking for a goggle/software sponsor i suggest you look to other people as well as oakley

I think oakley gear is super sick, but it seems to me that they don't really give a shit about their outerwear or supporting the consumer. Like, they don't even post the shit on the website and they always have the ugly shit in the stores. I wanted to get a jacket at the beginning of the season, but they wouldn't even send me the catalog, excuse being 'it wasn't an accurate representation of the clothes'. so, fuck, i bought clothing i could actually see what it looks like. For the most part, it seemed like oakley's attitude was that their product was so good that it sells its self. well, it's good. but not that good.

yeah ozee i know what your saying aobut the O-form, its basically impossible to get around here too, i have been freakin begging my manager to give me one for about a month now, talked to the oakley rep 3 times and am still left without one. They definatly know their shit is dope and that is part of the reason, ppl are paying full price for their shit, which is already more expensive than a lot. But the quality is definatly there.

The oakley rep in my area is a really nice guy tho, i gave him a video a couple days ago and im sure he will check it out, i dunno i dont even expect to get sponsered but it is nice to know where your at and shit.

Oakley is a massive corperation.. only reason it's so popular (besides its product) is cus they spend do much money on advertising. Support soemthing real like spy or some newer smaller goggle companies.. wait and see.. It happened with skis.. it will happen with goggles.. we'll progress away from the big companies.

^Just because oakley is a large corporation doesn't mean all their stuff is crap, I love the a-frames and have never had a problem with them. Everyone is about supporting the smaller companies and stuff but i say support whatever you like wearing. If you like rossi skis then great, if you like 4frnt of Ninthward then great, support what you like to wear and use, not just because you think you should help the smaller guys or support a certain company.

simply stated: in the world of skiing, oakley makes the best goggles, sunglasses and softgoods. the only companies that exceed them are some snowboard companies, which i would definitely love to ride for instead, but since that isn't gonna happen as of right now, i will stick with the shitty-ass oakley hookup i have just because i won't go to another company to sacrifice the things i like
