iRiver makes some good ones for 100. Rio makes some good ones too. Minidisc might even be a good idea.

oh, and get a md player, better than mp3 by a long shot.

samsung yepp is a good (really cheap!) mp3 player. I have one and it is good.

go to costco, they have an iRiver 128 mb player for 139 (about 50 songs) or a Rio 256 mb with Fm Radio for 189 (about 80-120 songs). Those are canadian prices.

i have an iPod, they are so nice, i love mine. And those people up top talking about one that is 512mb for 200$!!!, are you insane, get an iPod, for like 50$ more you can get like 15x the size

older archos 20gb jukeboxes are selling new for cheap on ebay. they've got awesome sound, and they're easy to use. you dont need any software or anything, just drag and drop like it's a portable hard drive. Also, this new company iaudio makes something significantly smaller than an ipod, lighter weirht, with better battery life and it's cheaper (275 on amazon). shop around, because there are better products than ipods, ie. better battery life, smaller, and CHEAPER. ipod is definatly the easiest to use tho.

i have an ipod butive also owned a minidisc, i suggest minidisc www.minidisco.com that has a lot of minidisc player on it, but i dont know how to do the link thing

get an mp3 cd player. if you get a good one, it won't ever skip and you can fit like 400 songs on one cd and you can play regular cds too.
