The internet, I mean I know it's a browsing system that I can use to look at porn but i mean what is it technically, how did it start out, where does it come from etc.

it was created 1962 as a interconnected computer network to help our government communicate faster than morris code and by 1982 it was completely transformed so anyone could use it and get news buy stuff and communicate with people faster than writing letters ect.
