So last week i got to go to 3 Ohio resorts all known for having great terrain parks. Brandywine, Snowtrails and Mad River. In my opinion Mad River has everything you could want. I know a lot of people are bias and hype up there "home" resort but thats not the case for me. I ride Brandywine at least 4 days a week and I'm still wondering what the hell is going on there. I dont want to hate on BW but Mad river and Snowtrails are far better. Snowtrails rail setups are pretty fun and have some unique features you are hard pressed to find around here, but the jumps were dissapointing. I will say that i was there when it was snowing like a bitch and apparently they are aware that they need to do some work on them. Mad River never seems to let me down. 5 jump line is like nothing you will ever find at another ohio resort and with the huge variety of rails you cant find a rail you wont like. So if you live in Ohio and want to ride a great park, I suggest Mad River if you havent already figured it out.
hell yea capital park is the illest. check out this gallery to see the full park setup:

should be really good to come out and shred this weekend. fresh snow coming thursday night
Capital park kills it. I'm at OSU and I go up there at least four days out of the week--I think the only way I could be happier is if I was living out in the Rockies. Everyone in Ohio needs to check it out.
Snow Trails better them BW? I was just up at Snow Trails this past weekend and it was defiantly not better than BW's parks form last year at least (haven't been to BW yet this year). But, Mad River is for sure putting out a great park this year. Everything is prime.
everyone i talk to at perfect north is always talking shit about capital park.... but i dont understand why after seeing photos like that... i need to get up there this year. that place looks like it puts perfect north to shame.
its DUMPING out there right now. roads were too bad to get to the hill myself but it should set up some epic snow conditions at capital park this weekend
I don't know why, but everyone at perfects always feels the need to talk shit about mrm. Don't listen to them though--while perfect north IS good, mad river is much better. I think the only thing that perfects has that mad river doesn't is that their park is roped off, which cuts down on all of the gapers clogging everything up.
i've had a pass at perfects for a few years and now go to osu and ski at mrm and i think it's sick how i live in Ohio and I have 2 absolutely insane parks to ski at. I don't know how ppl could hate on either park.
the biggest difference between perfects and mrm is the way the jumps are built, mrm might have a 4 jump line? but honestly there not built that well at all, perfects has three jumps, i usually skip the first two and just hit the last one so i hit one jump per run, yeah that kind of sucks but at least its a well built jump....poppy lip, wide built up landing that is steep. Yeah mrm has A TON of features which is super sick, thats what makes that place so good, i am definetly gonna come ride there this season! it was super fun last year coming up a few times, this post has no intention of hating on mad river, place is dope, just my two cents
i agree with the toothless bastard^ looks like alot of fun for rails, and they look sick with a lot of options. but perfects has them beat with our jump quality, and with how fast we can lap our park, its not too bad to just hit one jump a run...... love all around... remember people. E.L.E.
I was there yesterday, the jumps are definitely a lot better for sure. I normally like to do about 50/50 rails and jumps but I was having so much fun on jumps yesterday that I didn't really even do a rail run haha.
Also, I'm assuming that the big air was cleared for a canon launch, any word on when that'll be set up? Probably closer to the slopestyle comp right?
