You guys have probably seen me post on here a while back, but we just recorded our first single in a professional studio. We recorded with Nick Bilotta of Holly Heist/Arcuates at Dinowax Studios in Biddeford, Maine. If you've got a second please check it out and leave me some feedback. It means the world to us.

Dogg this song is dope! I love the vocals, the riff, and especially the drummer....he has good fills and the intro is good. Great song man! I would totally buy an album if you guys make it that far! +K!
Sounds pretty good. You should make the guitar more of a focus in your song at times. It just seems like all the music is just chilling in the background while the singer overshadows some good guitar and drum parts.
I wouldn't have put it in such a harsh way, but yes. EXACTLY what I was thinking.
I know for some music it really doesn't apply, specially some punk (which is NOT what I'd call you guys), but if you picked apart the song into parts from each instrument there's absolutely nothing special about it. in fact alone they would all sound like shit. not just shit, but very unoriginal and uninspired shit. even the vocals. if you're playing a popish punkesque rockish thing you would do much better having more originality to the individual parts. everyone can power chord, everyone can do a typical 4/4 drum beat, and everyone can put lyrics to it. but really nobody except Dylan Cohan or someone is going to start out making good music, you'll always start out with one or 2 uninspired songs that never make an album if you end up ever making one.
and be damn thankful for Arabian.'s criticism, it's what you need to hear to make yourself better.
I had a crumby little recording of just myself and a friend playing a tune, got a couple harsh words from Arabian., went and redid it with them in mind, then played it with a full band, sounded like pure sex.
unfortunately then the singer/guitarist went crazy but oh well, this summer once the meds are kicking in we should be back at it.
I'm actually disappointed... I was hoping for another shitty band i could laugh at but i really like the music like everybody else is saying the girl singer is pretty good! good luck to you and your band
I'm pumped to hear this haha. Sparks are hometown boys who are probably my favorite band out there, and The Summer Set is another top contender haha. Thanks for checking us out!
double post, but i just read through this thread and its clear that everyone in here knows nothing about this type of music. but keep it up, i always dig a girl frontman (or woman). reminds me of running with giants or like kids in the making back in the old days. throw a breakdown in there somewhere and keep working.
