Replying to Explain to me LPs/Vinyl/etc.

ok so i recently found a ton of old vinyl in the attic and a record player. now i understand that they sound amazing and (personally) a lot more natural than digital..but i want to know why they are so god damn expensive!

im trying to get the Your Favorite Weapon album by Brand New and they are like 150 bucks and up. i just looked online and found out i have like a 500 dollar elvis 25th anniversary thing...

can someone tell me why these are so expensive? i just wanna listen to the music haha
