I got a base shot on my skis today in my backyard and it was right next to my edge. It exposed both sides of the edge. Will this possibly make my edge get pulled off and is there anything I can do to fix it?
should've made myself more clear haha, i meant the edge is exposed on the inside where it had been covered by the base before so it seems more likely to get pulled off.
I had this happen to my step ups the other day on a c-box. I rode on em the next day no problems. A couple nights ago we simply filled the hole with p-tex and everything seems fine so far.
From your description it sounds like it should be basewelded vs being ptexd. Ptex is meant more for little surface scratches and dings, if you took enough base out that you are able to see the edge anchors, a base weld is more suited for you. It is like ptex on roids. Any good shop can take care of that for you.
