This is my first time dealing with a shitty seller on NS, so bare with me.
In November, he was selling a bunch of pairs of FKS's. It was slightly suspicious due to the fact that he wouldn't tell people where he got them, but I assumed he got them off old race skis or something. Anyways, I bought two pairs of FKS 155s, one for my friend and one for myself. They arrived in mid November, but the skis I was putting them on didn't get here to late December. So in the beginning of January, a little more than a week ago, I got them mounted by my friend's dad who worked in a shop for years, and knows what he is doing. As he was mounting them, we realized several things:
1. The screws he gave me were just assorted screws that really didn't fit that great. Whatever I said, we can live with that.
2. As my friend's dad was putting them on and adjusting the dins, he realized that only one of the front toe pieces had a din marker to tell what the din is set at, and neither of the back ones did. This is not alright. In addition, the threads for the din were in pretty bad shape, and the plastic housing on the toe pieces was pretty chipped. To sketchily set the din, we measured how many turns of the screwdriver it took to set the din at my level on that one toe piece, and went from there.
3. The brake piece didn't fit into the heel piece right. This we didn't notice until after the heel pieces were already mounted. The brake could be pushed down, but it didn't fit into the groove of the heel piece properly. When we saw this, I was pissed, but decided to see if I could ride on them. Bad judgement. I have never broken or bent a pair of brakes in my 3 years of park riding, and I bent the brakes badly on my second run on these just while I was riding down, after hitting no more than 4 rails/boxes on them.
Stupid mistakes on my part that I am aware of:
Stupid mistake #1 was not checking them more thoroughly when I got them.
Stupid mistake #2 was riding them after realizing all of this stuff was wrong.
I'm aware that you could technically say that it was my fault for bending the brakes. But I have never bent any brakes, and I had only taken one and a half runs on these, and they bent as I was skiing on the snow. Yes, I'm aware I should have looked at them more thoroughly or not rode them. But he still sold me bindings that had very shitty brakes, and with dins that didn't work right and weren't safe.
Here's my message exchange with him from when I got them to now:

Prove to me you had pictures of the dins, because they definitely came to me like that. There's no meter to measure where it's at, and the plastic itself that surrounds the piece is in awful shape. Obviously I didn't do anything to them, they came like that. You can't shrug off responsibility, because that is a major problem with the bindings.
As for the brakes, I really have no idea what happened. I know with almost complete certainty that I didn't do anything to bend them, at least anything more than skiing across snow. If brakes can't handle that, then how would they be able to handle park? Technically yes, you can say the brakes are my fault. But I feel very confident there was damage to them when I got them.

yo dude before i even took those bindings off of the skis i checked the dins in the heels and made sure you could spin it, I left one high and one low just to prove it. Also i have pictures off those bindings where it is very clear that you can read the din settings so i dunno what to tell you there either. As for the brakes you bent them your issue. I dunno what to tell you man these are bindings i sold to you two months ago when the ski season started, they were sold as is and you agreed. Those are my answers

Also, the breaks are fucked up. I've only bent breaks once in three years of park riding. I took one run on the skis yesterday, and on my second run the break got messed up just while I was skiing down. Instead of ignoring my message, can you get back to me?

Hey man, I need some answers. I bought two pairs of FKS's from you a couple months ago. One was for my friend, one was for me. I haven't talked to him about his yet. But I got mine mounted yesterday, and they're in pretty bad shape. The holes that you said were on the heelpieces that didn't matter? Well they do, because they wore the threads out really bad. One of the heelpieces is pretty fucked up, it's barely attached and the plastic is all broken. Another huge problem that you mentioned nothing about is the fact that NEITHER of the heelpieces have the marker that tell you what your din is at, and only one of the toepieces does. What the hell? Are you expecting me to ski around without having any idea what my din is? I'm looking for some answers, so get back to me please.

Hey man got the bindings, thanks.
He stopped responding to me. So I emailed him on January 12th, which he never replied to:
Ok, since you've been reading my messages on Newschoolers and not responding, I'll email you. I'm going to need some answers, and a solution from you on how you want to fix this. If you keep not replying to my messages, I'll make a callout thread and find a way to get reimbursed for the defect bindings. Please get back to me, I really don't want to have to do this, but I will if I have to.
If anyone knows him or has any information about how I can contact him, let me know. I would love a good pair of FKS's, but by now I just want my money back.
