Full tilts 6 or 4 flex new tongues?

I need new tongues for my full tilts and i have bad shin bang from the 10 flex any wana tell me the diffrence between 6 and 4 flex is?

The higher up you go the stiffer the tongue is gonna be. 6 tongue is stiffer than a 4 flex tongue.

Guess it depends how much you weigh, but it seems like 4 would be too soft for anything outside of small park jumps and rails

4 is too soft, i wish i could have 10s but FTi only come in 4 and 6, hope 6 is stiff enough or im gonna bail on full tilts.

I ski #10 and #6 and find the #6 to be very soft. It's a big jump from #10 to #6. Personally I think the #4 would be too soft for me. I'm 135lbs, skiing east coast (Mt Snow, Stratton), 50/50 trees and park. Also skiing relatively stiff skis (Mantras and Walls).

next year it will come with an 8.

I agree the 10 is too stiff for more freestyle applications. I run a 4 for small jibbing, 6 for most of my riding, and an 8 for all mountain harder skiing.

yea thats true.. i wanna get next years high five model and hopefully it comes with a 6 for more all mountain applications but having an 8 wouldnt be too bad when skiing some steeps and chutes

For the new shell design with a wider last there's only flex 4 and 6 available.

dope!

i was refering to the most recent model with the crazy shit all over it and the zippers

but thanks for letting me know...i wanted to get a boot good for back country and skiing the steeps uptop and now that it comes either in a 8 or a 6 as said above that should be a good boot to get for next season

you might look at touring boots if your going to be backcountry skiing.... (touring/hiking)

you also might want to educate yourself about it in general because by the sounds of it now you either dont back country ski at all or are going to die.

i did a bit when i was in vail for a week and did a day of snowcat skiing but yet i am fairly new to it and i live in kansas so i dont really have a mountain and enormous amounts of snow. but its what i want to ski more in the future

if you got any tips on where to go to learn new stuff that would be awesome...thanks!
