Another loss

I just heard about a 18 year old skier killed at Windham today. She was a new skier and didn't have a helmet on and hit a tree. There has been to many deaths this year, whether they are expert skiers or first timers. Just keep it safe guys, there has been way to many deaths this year and its scary to think that we could die in an instant doing what we love. ski safely guys.

RIP. these kinda of losses suck and are very depressing, but they make us check ourselves in our own limits and make the ski community closer. it is a shame it takes something of this magnitude for us all to become closer and check our limits. again, RIP

makes you think twice...... some times.... like the other day i went of8 footer in the trees.. and i shit you  not if i had gone a foot or two to the left..   man i might not be here. 

skiing is fun   but it is dangerious as fuck.

my mom did the same thing

RIP to all who have passed. the toll on the ski community has been hard to deal with this year. it seems like every few days someone else passes away.

do you think it'll become a condition of the lift ticket that you MUST wear a helmet? i mean, crashing in the park is one thing but i hear too many stories about people dying after hitting trees without a helmet.

its already illegal to ride a bike without one....how long til skiing catches up?

i think some states have laws now that make people under 18 ski and ride with a helmet. In all honesty I hope it catches on with all the other states

Almost didnt open this so sad all the people simply going up for 1 day out of the year. With 3 deaths at my mountain in the last month i think im gonna strap on the helmet this weekend.

To everyone here on newschoolers, wear your helmet. If you don't have one, go out and buy one. If you don't have money, ask your parents. My parents couldn't have been happier when I asked for one for Christmas two years ago. Too many deaths this year, especially when a helmet could have possibly stopped some of these deaths
