ok so im sure this is a problem for other people, but every time I take my ipod to the mountain (or any places cold) it freezes and stops working until I put it under the hand dryer or something warm.
I have a really warm jacket as is but ive tried putting it in some socks and a wraping it up in some other small cloth things but those just arent really insulating enough and it still freezes. My ipod has frozen and reheated so many times the the screen has some blank black spots in it.
short version then: ideas for keeping my ipod from freezing on the mountain...its on the brink of breaking.

I used to have this problem, so I made an Ipod case out of duct tape that I was able to hang on a lanyard around my neck. This way it was under all my layers and stayed way warmer than it would in my jacket pocket.

i had that problem so i would put it in a warm sock with a handwarmer. always got the full potential out of my 4 year old battery, the whole 5 hours..

yea handwarmer seems like the best idea, but make sure its on the back of the ipod, not the front. itll still keep it warm but they can get so so hot its probably not the best leave it on the front of the screen. and i dont know how often u wanna access it but just make sure its in a pocket on the inside of your jacket
