Graphics/Photo Computer

So. I am going to buy a computer for mostly graphics/photo work... would a Mac be best for it? Or A higher end PC?
Any suggestions?
I was looking in the area of a G3 or G4 for a mac.

It doesnt really matter as long as you have a fast computer and a good editing software like adobe photoshop. You also need a good graphics card.

you also need a good monitor too. i can't tell you how many times my work has been messed up because i can't see it well on a crappy monitor. i'd recommend flat screen.

Get a video card that has dual vga outputs so you can hook up 2 monitors...it helps alot
