Warmest boots?

Might have to get a new pair of boots as I got the toe box punched out too far and now my feet won't last more than half an hour on these Canadian slopes. I'm also an instructor so this is no good, i've been forced to turn to rentals the past 2 days ;(

So warmth is a huge asset to me, what's the warmest pair of boots you guys have had and/or heard of?

so.

#1 full tilts may have a small instep but I do not have full tilts, as stated before I have full tilt pro intuition liners but the shell is a Dalbello Il Moro shell.

#2 I walk around in the winter a LOT or take the bus as I just crashed my car and my feet never get cold in a normal pair of shoes, just my hands, so no I have good blood flow.

#3 I do not drink anything caffinated in the morning nor do I smoke. In fact I usually bring my flask with me on the hill, warm me up with some vodka!!!! HAAHAH

#4 i'll try and get some compression socks, are those just the thing that goes around your heel that's very thick elastic and makes it harder to flex your ankle? I think usually used when you sprain you ankle or something?

anddddd #5 cayenne in your boots, uhmm...? lol like cayenne peppers...? hahah

dalbello gold and silver liners have to be molded, 240F for 15 - 20 minutes. FT, Ride, and K2 it isn't necessary, but recommended. those are heated at 120F for no more than 20 minutes.

you need ski/snowboard socks.
barefoot is going to freezing, same with cotton ankle socks.

go to a store like tj-maxx (i think in canada its marshalls or something?) and get some good ski socks for dirt cheap.

if youre cold in your boots at -25 degrees, youre just like everyone else. thats fucking cold to be in a hard plastic boot on a mountain.

Intuition liners do have to be molded for the perfect fit. The liners can mold with your body heat, but that can take a while.

you are correct both are wrapping liners. they aren't made of the same materials. call intuition and ask them.

regardless, they both need to be molded, they're not friggin SPK liners bro, all intuition liners need to be molded, hence the WRAP liner, seamless fit!

Ok, I failed reading comprehension about your boots.  But still, about your instep height.  Do you loosen you boots after each run?  When you're not skiing?

Compression socks are not for ankle support.  They're very thin, tight socks designed to improve blood flow your feet.

You don't do anything dumb like tuck your long underwear into your boots do you?  And don't wear ankle socks either.  Any seams you put into your boots will lessen blood flow.

And dried cayenne powder in your boots is said to help keep your feet warm.

ok so dont tuck anything into your boots... get compression socks...and how much cayenne powder, just sprinkle some inn the liner and shake it around in there?lol this could get reaaalllll messy...

Don't buy boots based on what everyone tells you is the warmest. Go have your feet looked at and see what fits best. Boots are designed with different lasts(widths) in steps and heal cups. Find out which fits your foot best (snuggest) and go from there otherwise you'll swap out boots a million times if you follow the trends and get what everyone tells you to buy on NS and has never actually looked at your foot.

i have some pretty shitty boots and i keep them snugg and not too tight and my feet have never been cold.... you dont need super expensive stuff to keep them warm just dont over tighten

Bumping this thread for a question regarding intuition liners. If I want to buy a replacement liner for my old pair of daelbello boots what liner should I get? looking at the site it seems like the powerwrap plus would be the best option

Def not full tilts because they leak so much. I had ice built up on the bottom of my liners almost 90% of the days and now most likely have life long frost bite because of it.

A correctly fitting boot is always going to be warm. Like seriously, always. You have an almost-airtight plastic box with a thick, squishy foam bit wrapping your foot which probably has some nice merino socks on it. If your feet feel cold, it's almost certainly because you're losing circulation to them. The fact that you said that your boots are probably way too small, and that you've had the toe box punched way out, tells me that your boots probably don't fit that well. They're not inherently cold, they just fit terribly and it's squashing all your veins.

It's time for new boots, dude.
