I was talking to some friends, and realized that we're ski hipsters. (We being myself and a lot of NS)

We buy stuff from obscure companies like ON3P, Saga, Moment, EC Headwear...

We do things the majority of the skiing population doesn't really get (park being one of them, or kids skiing exclusively park)

Trying to think of other comparisons.

i dont mean anything against you in any way, shape, or form but in my honest experience i would get into a very large personal debate with you if i saw you on the hill and heard you bitching about the things you said. i am a very pro-progression type of child (only 16)

my friend called me a ski hipster today,

ski hipsters clothing style is the opposite of a urban hipster:
baggy pants, tall shirt, tall jacket

but basically other than that we are no different

I wouldn't stand for your rants either. I still occasionally rip zipper lines in my mid fat skis (108mm underfoot VCT TURBOs) and am so glad we aren't in the 80's because of the massive improvements in ski shape, practical boots, emergence of solid AT bindings, and more functional outerware. At least the mountains haven't changed much. I could care less about chairlifts these days... which brings me to my next point:

When some of you punks stop caring about chairlifts, then you might be hip, and only then.

I sometimes take ironic mogul runs and perform ironic stunts and then ironically ski back down to the lift line because snowboarding is like so much more mainstream than skiing
