heres my recent edit with some twixtor at :11 i think. i find it challenging to not blur my shots while trying twixtor. idk why. ill post another edit tomorrow also when its dont uploading..

60 fps from a goprohd. pretty excited how it turned out but the landing got a lil jacked for some reason. maybe because to much going on in the shot.




theres reallly no twixtor trend because lots of people cant even get it working with their programs.

Popular stuff sucks, i wish you kids would be creative. I'm not saying im any more creative but as soon as everyone learned they could get twixtor for free they instantly started 10% their shit. Kevin Steen used twixtor over 2 years ago in gang, but he used it creatively. Cutting to a shot of someone moving at 10% or cutting into the middle of a shot at 10% is so played already.

(note, i didnt watch those videos so i dunno if they did it well or not)

and doing an edit 100% in slowmo isnt played? come on, everything was done and re done. I much prefer seeing one massive slowmotion than watching a full edit in slowmotion, it gets redundant.

It is. Everyone fucking does it, everyone conforms their 60p footage to 24p/30p its annoying as fuck. I did it once (2 years ago), it worked well and i haven't done it since.

doing entire edits as follow cams isn't that creative man... i know you do some tripod stuff now but you know what i mean

using 35mm adapters isn't that creative either....people have been using those for years

just saying, we're all trend whores

But that makes it even more ridiculous that you're criticizing others for a lack of creativity. Let kids overuse something, they'll get over it soon enough.

Yeah i've only done that once too. Sticking with the 60p in 60p timeline for now, works best for my eidting style. The thing too is that so many kids on NS see videos and want to be cinematographers themselves and most of them jump right into twixtor/fcp without any creativity or editing experience.

^ personally i feel that twixtor is a special tool that should be reserved for the serious filmmaker and just the right moments. I have twixtor myself and have yet to find an instance where i could make it work well in my edits.

Slow motion shots (if not too ridiculously slow) are aesthetically pleasing. What's wrong with that?

I usually just use framerate pulldowns bc I haven't found a reason to slow things down any more than that but... if twixtor does the job for someone then so be it.
