so my t2i finally came today and it did not come with a sd card, can anyone tell me where in a store i can buy one? and what type? pictures of the right one will always help.
(i dont take pictures, mostly video....if that helps)
but actually, bring in ur camera. ask for a high speed (for video) card, 32gb and tell the guy at the camera store what u r doing and he should help you out.
1. Post in media section
2. Go to ANY camera/electronics store
3. Pick up a high speed HC-SD card, choose GB as you prefer
4. Shoot crappy, overxposed, out of focus shots with the wrong settings
5. Make crappy edit
6. Acquire currency (although probably not)
Doesn't necessarily have to be 32gb (a 8gb card will give you about 23 mins of recording at 1080/720p HD), but make sure that it's at least class 6 and a reputable brand, go for class 10 if you have the extra coin.
Cards lower than class 6 might not be able to read as fast as the camera's trying to write to the card and the video will stop recording. Though if you buy a legit brand, class 4 may be able to record video (my Lexar Platinum II 8gb class 4 will record video on my t2i, but my shittier Silicon Power 16gb class 6 won't cut it for recording video.
With a T2i the card must be a class 6 or above if not the footage will not save to the card at a high enough speed. I originally bought a class 4 card for mine and had to upgrade straight away.
On Amazon and places you can pick up a class 6 16gb card for pretty cheap with delivery.
