Extracting AVI File From A RAR File?

I having trouble extracting a avi file from a rar file on my macbook pro and the file part of a video. If anyone can help me +K.

i would have suggested WINRAR but realised you had a mac, perhaps alt click and extract files?

my mac knowledge is limited
