For all you FCP gurus, when im importing footy from my gopro (obviously haha) i get an error message saying : File Error: 1 file recognized, 0 access denied, 1 unknown.
WTF gives? ive imported a clip from my GoPro earlier and know its doing this.
p.s im fairly new to FCP and so far its been giving me a hell of a hard time, so help would be greatly appreciated. Sincerely, getting pree pissed off.

import to MPeg streamclip and convert to an .aic format. not only will it fix your problem but it will also eliminate the need to render everything. If all else fails make sure it is in 30 fps

Mpeg streamclip comes with different codecs depending if you download the mac or pc version. I use mpeg to convert all my files to apple prores in mpeg

Your computer is to slow to deal with the footage so it drops frames. There are ways to get around this. Look it up on youtube helped me a lot.
