First ski edit.. Critique?

pretty good for a first edit, just a few things
one tht i noticed was you used a lot of slow mo (especially in the beginning, when the guy does the three and skis to the jump). I think you should be a little bit more selective as to where you use it. What i mean is its more than alright to have a few clips in slow mo, but we don't need to spend 3x as long watching someone ski from one jump to the next. You could try having it fast between, and slow in the air, which will make the effect more dramatic (I'm not saying that you should try to make it look like you are going faster than you are though). This went hand in hand with my next thing, which was that the use of slow mo with the techno remixy song didn't seem like the best fit. Try to build your edit around the song, not throw it in after, which will also help with my next tip which is to try and match tricks (usually the landing, but there are a few exceptions) to the beat. Lastly, a few shots seemed kinda washed out, may just be fb, but i think it said u had final cut, so try doing some color correction. With that said, I'm not saying it was bad, i thought it was decent, especially for your first, but these tips will make it better.

nvm,read the thing about final cut too fast, but in that vase i suggest that you either get final cut or find a way to do color correction in your program

decent... but like has been said dont overuse slow mo. and work on getting your shots a little smoother. i know its hard with a gopro but itll make the edit look way better. also you should cut your clips before you show yourself reaching to turn the camera off (only noticed this in the first one where you are on the chairlift but still). and lastly, try and work into the climactic part in the music with a cool trick. starting the line before with the little nose butter 3 kinda killed it, and try to have a really good trick as the first trick to hook the people watching's attention. rodeo 5 both hands down to wash out isnt exactly a banger trick. but not bad for a first edit

overall good first edit. i liked how the music built up to the first hit on the jump. it kept me thinkin like whats he gonna throw down?? and he did start with a banger. one thing i have to critique is that you dont need follow cams for every shot. get a good variety in there. also i give you props for using lifestyle/random shots in the edits. most people with first edits dont do that. good job man
