I need new skis next yeaer, by then I will be 5'11 or so, 160 pounds by then as well. I ride Blue Mountain, PA so I ski on ice, and will spend my time lapping the park, I am newer to jumps so I need a ski that will help me progress(i can only 3 almost 5), I'm better at rails, switch ups, pretzel 2's, and want a good ski for that. I might ski some all mountain.. but honestly not much at all. SO ns, what ski would you recommend, also what size? 171,181?

Blue Steele in a 181, you don't want a heavier version if you are looking to progress in the park and aren't interested in that much all mountain. Hands down BS.

Its in development, you'll see in May. But its got some interesting features we're excited about... an infinite number of turn radii, hahaha.

Well I have Jmos, and I don't ski much park.  I wouldn't really need the ski at all, it's just the infinite turn radius is a huge turn on, sounds like it would be fun and nimble in moguls.

I hope 176 instead of 181.  If I were to get a park ski, I would want it a bit shorter than my all-mountain ski.

that soudns good.. because 171 and 181 is a pretty big difference.. so some people either take kidna short skis or kinda long skis,.

Haha, that's a bit much for a park ski.  Especially for ON3P, since they focus more on pow.  But I'm kinda confused as to how they make a ski with infinite turn radius, will someone explain.

Remember our 181cm ski is going to be a lot longer than most other companies 181cm skis...

as for more park ski sizes. We would love to have more sizes, but we just don't sell enough skis to do it. As it is, 171cm skis are by far our worst sellers.

My jmos are about 0.8 cm longer than my armadas.

I know I'm gonna sound stupid here, but what exactly does this rocker do. I mean powder skis have rocker to keep the tips up and shit, but what does the rocker do in the park? and wouldnt a 181 be to big for me since all of you are saying its basically a 184. I am riding a 166 right now and I find it would be to much of a difference.

Tips don't catch on rails as easily, butter a little easier. I havent skied more then a couple runs on rockered park skis (blue steels and Reno Rockers) but I can tell you I liked the feel of them a lot better then a traditional cambered park ski.

Our measuring system is true tip to tip length, so if you wanna know how big these will be, measure 181cm up a wall and make a mark - when holding a pair base to base with the tails on the ground, the tips will be that far off the floor. Stack up your current skis and see how big of a jump it would be.

Rocker is just a little different. You can have a stiff ski thats still easy to press, and it can help decrease your chances of catching a tip or getting hooked. Though a lot of companies, including us, are doing it, some people will inevitably prefer the performance of traditional camber over the new technology. Optimally, you should try it out before you make a commitment and buy a set, but I know a lot of people dont have that option. Buying skis with park rocker just because its the cool new thing is kinda risky unless you can afford to lose some money on a quick resale if you dont like it.

People seem to believe that a demand on NS equals actual buyer demand in the real world.

I have 181 JMos and I am 5'10". 160 lbs. and I think they are a bit too long for me. Especially in the park. If I were you, I would recommend the 171s. I know that when I buy new skis in the next year or two that I am going to get 171s.

I'm 5'10" and 145, and 181 felt way too big at first for me too.  I had much trouble with them in moguls, but after three days of skiing them, I could just go straight down moguls again.  And I assure you that 181 Jmos are much more suited for park than for moguls.
