Okay this is a really random question but..

When he destroys the guy named "Primo" in the rap battle, is Primo supposed to be DJ Premier (aka Primo)? Just wondering because if it isn't then it seems like a weird choice of name. It seemed odd because they have made some songs together.


And yes I know most of you probably dont care or know, but I am curious and couldn't find anything on it when I tried searching.

holy shit that was sick. and no i dont think so, because gang starr already had albums and stuff by 1991, so i doubt premier would be battling a 17 year old kid in the hood

If you watch notorious, they actually have the same place as in the rap battle, if you look at the signs. Its great how much effort they put into the movie.
