loon's been doing that for years. Was actually convenient when i was younger, as we always used to go skiing with our neighbors, all of whom are quite religious, and we are not. So we'd all hit the hill on a sunday morning, do some runs, ditch them for their worship, then meet up later. No time lost due to people getting ready for church, then going to the hill

you guys dont make sense. first you are ripping on Christians for being all religiousy and pushy and being all "turn or burn" on you.. and then you guys are like, Christians are stupid for trying to be cool or hold rail jams or concerts and what not...

Why not though? Some people think it's sick that they can ski and practice their religion within a very short span of time\ or even spontatneously, so no point in telling people what they shouldn't do.

I thought this downhill worship would be about worshipping the mountains and the snow. I would definitely attend if there was a group of mountain worshippers. I mean, with all these gods laying low/not existing, mountains and tectonic plates have proven themselves to be the most powerful things in the world. Maybe someone should start a church of geography.

How about praising God (or some other higher power, if you're not into "God") for skiing?  For the natural wonder that is the mountains, snow, pow, flying, floating, geography, tectonic plates, friends, fellowship, or whatever else skiing is to you?

I addressed that in an earlier post, something about Christians tricking unsuspecting youth into their cults by holding "cool" events. It's totally an unscrupulous practice to entice youth into being brainwashed because they don't have the mental capacity to think critically of the situation and realize what is actually happening.  Just another prime example of Christians targeting the weak/mentally weak into joining their cult..  I see through you idiots plan, albeit slightly clever, it is absolutely disgusting.  You should be ashamed of yourselves.

Why can't Christians have a good time? I think a rail jam is a good time. One of the pastors at my church thinks a rail jam is a good time. Why can't we hold a rail jam? It has nothing to do with tricking people into coming. If I'm going to talk about what I believe or he is going to talk about what he believes, we are going to tell people straight up that it's going to come up.

he's a clown for believing something? you're a clown for calling him a clown for believing something. Worship and prayer and 'church stuff' isn't just for inside a church. If you really are that opposed to it steer clear, the attacking it really isn't going to do anything.
