I do believe Dave Treadway and his wife skis for them.

There is a retired, married couple that are my neighbours in the Blaeberry (just outside of Golden, BC). Very sweet couple. Awesome people, the guy is a ski instructor at Kicking Horse. They're out skiing literally everyday.
Anyways, their very Christian, and there daughter Tessa married Dave.
I don't know where I'm getting at with this, it's half a claim since I'm good friends with them. It's also half a statement. There are a couple people in the Rockies that are SSfC. All shred hard. I like it.

Just watch Dave's part in Out of the Shadows.

second time i ever went skiing was with a church group. i had so much fun i made my dad start taking me to the local mountain.
i'm not the least bit religious, but if it weren't for going to church as a kid i probably never would have become a skier.

You're an idiot, I'm sorry. It's alright to have your own beliefs. But discriminating and hating on people with their own beliefs is retarded.
Like I said, I know people that are part of this group in Canada, they are amazing people, amazing skiers (the Tessa girl I mentioned was just on Factions blog post yesterday, https://newschoolers.com/ns/cult/news/id/4319/jid/1117/eid/60160/ ).

They do what they do, and they are happy with their lives. If their group is able to make people happy and give them faith in their life, what's wrong with that?

I too personally don't believe in a God, but I don't go around saying that and hating on people that do. Everyone I know that are Christian lead normal lives and are very friendly, all with good values. And I'm happy for them.

I never said these people were bad skiers, un friendly, or not living enjoyable lives or anything like that.  Most Christians I know are friendly, hell, most everyone I know is friendly.  I just wanted to direct some hate towards religion, this was my chosen channel of the moment, not a great choice obviously, I was just pissed off and decided to post some hate up in this bitch.  But I'm gone from this thread now.  Enjoy the snow ladies and gentleman.

I am down with the chill christians, but I made the mountains my church long ago.
I say if an organization like this gets more people skiing, then all the better for us and them. but honestly I don't think jesus would have liked skiing, I mean he was from the middle east... now, if he skated or surfed he would have been a ripper

Here's what's up with SFC:

We want to be you're friend first, then tell you what we believe.  If you don't want to hear it, that's cool, we'll still be you're friend.  We don't stop people on the hill and yell at them for cussing or whatever, that's dumb.  That's not the point at all.

We understand what goes on behind the scenes of the professional ski and snowboard scene completely, we have people like Kelly Clark, Eric Willet (who are snowboarders I realize) who know what's up.

We're all snowboarders and skiers that care about other snowboarders and skiers, that's why we do what we do.

Funny how these neo religious organizations always has to disguise their religious activities by being "cool" and their staff members "chill" and having actual fun activities while trying to act like they don't care what you believe.  In reality they are trying to brainwash you young ones into their belief system.  Open your eyes people.  If you wanna be religious, go to church, if you wanna ski, ski.  Just because one facet of your life is important doesn't mean you should roll it into all your activities and shit.

It's dumb though. Even though this is rare, I've seen christians smoke cigs and much less rare drink beers. The pastor at a church next tp my house smoked cigs.
