Ok just wanted to see if what i found in my edges is a big deal

They are last years ar6's and i was wondering should i just ptex this?
What are my other options?

just a little piece of sidewall. Take an exacto knife, cut the piece off, and toss some epoxy on the spot to seal the water out.

You shouldn't even have to do that. Unless the core is exposed, all you need to do is cut the dangly piece off, and then file down the sharp edges so it won't catch again. If the core is exposed. Cut the piece off, and then use a coating of thinned epoxy to get a good thorough seal. Then gob some thick epoxy in there, let it harden, and file it smooth.
