Bluehouse ski advise?

hey everyone,

so im basically new to the whole park skiing and need some advice on what skis to get. i have skied in the past but only with crappy rental stuff. i have started to dabble in the ways of a freeskier and was thinking of getting some fairly good quality boards under my feet and a friend suggested bluehouse. im 6ft 2in and 160lbs, would bluehouse antics - 182 be a good fit? any advise is much appreciated.

Almost exactly the same weight/height as me and I'm riding antics. Good, cheap skis.

Yup, 182s. I have only ridden them for about a week and have spent a pretty minimal time in the park (only been up once) but they are a nice ski. They don't weigh much, they are 7.5/10 on a stiffness scale, and are pretty poppy.

Oh, and the 182s have a unicorn on them. Fuckin' bad ass.

thats actually so BA...i think that these are the skis that i am going to get, i just have to convince my dad that they are good enough cause he is so skeptical

i also need some suggestions on bindings and boots, the cheaper the better as long as they will still hold up...im kinda on a budget so i dont have a ton of wiggle room.

boot wise, find a boot fitter its really the best way to get a good boot

Your op sounds almost exactly like me. I ended up getting a pair of Bluehouse MR's used. They are a little more and a little more all-mountain oriented. 93 underfoot. But they are constructed the same, so I can speak a little bit for you from experience.

These skis are way different from any rental ski. Took a while to get used to and im just now getting used to how the work. They have alot of camber and a good amount of pop in them. I can def tell that the difference in them when I get into powder, so the wider underfoot is a plus there.


Hope that helps you some man, I'm a big fan of my MR's and the guys at Bluehouse are really cool. Topsheets on my skis are a little weak, but I'm not worried about it b/c I got em used and take em through the park a good bit.

get bluehouse antics, i own the 175's and they are by far one of the best park skis ive owned. they have sick graphics and are really light compared to most skis if you invest in nice bindings like griffons or squires. they are pretty stiff but have tons of camber so they are really poppy and good for rails. as for mounting them i put mine dead centre because i like to be able to ski switch as much as i do forwards. they are not symmetrical but they are pretty damn close. 111-82-106 and they are pretty durable only topsheet damage so far for me.
