Replying to Safety rangers hatin'
i was skiing at seven springs this weekend and at the end of there one park theres like a wall of trees and a steep drop with some like short chutes people have skiied down. so i found a nice one with a 5 ft drop i went down and headed for the lift. upon reaching the lift a very old safety ranger calls me over and is like can i see your pass, i pulled out my season pass and he pulled out big industrial scissor and i was like woah! is something wrong sir. hes like you were skiing out of bounds (first of all i didnt know that it was against the rules to ski out of bounds i thought it was like at your own risk thing) besides the fact i go on to say well sir there was no signage up there. he then knowing he was wrong goes well you were coming down to a green circle trail which little kids ride on. prior to dropping down i made sure to look up hill, not a skier in cite, i tell the sr this and he stills insists on notching my pass (at our resort they hole punch season passes you get like 3 strikes i think). I was like how am i supposed to know this is out of bounds without signage or any warnings. HE THEN PROCEEDS TO TELL ME "YEA YOU CAN SHOW ALL YOUR FRIENDS THAT BEFORE THEY TRY AND PULL THAT" im like wtf i was skiing only with my brother who just went down the regular trail.
My thoughts are that the only reason that i was reemed out by that weakass bitch was because he was old and somehow hates freestyle skiiers "ruinning skiing". there were other kids hitting the side trails too, i just dont get why the hell i get punished for skiing how i wanna ski without being a hazard to other skiiers.
i just so pissed even though i still have two strikes on my pass.
what are your thoughts on my situation? and have you ever been punished for skiing out of bounds or just because your a freestyle skiier?
