I used them as examples. Thats pretty sick that the OG prototypes are still going stong. But still. You see my point. Not every ski company is perfect.
^is that Steven Nyman's brother?
Oh, and I was eye balling a pair of Rossignol S7s at this shop this morning and they were asking $949.00. Now I realize that price is full msrp and only a total bitch would hand over that cash. Nevertheless - doesn't this bring me back to my point earlier? No hate against Rossi, but what the fuck is up with asking almost a grand for a pair of skis? Sure they may last 25 years but no one will want to hold to them for that long. Therefore, as long as we have companies like LINE and Surface (just to name a few) targeting a more reasonable price point across their entire range of skis - our little sport is headed in a positive direction. And I am sure that it will keep the bigger companies in check when they sit down to discuss msrps in the future.
why not hold onto a pair of skis that long? if they are what you like and they still got life left in them, it would be a waste to get rid of them. Line and surface are able to charge so little because their products are piles of shit. you get what you pay for
Just curious but have you ever owned a pair of surfaces and/or rode a pair of them? You kind of need to back up your reasons to why surface is such a shitty brand. And "Because I have friends who owned them that broke" is not an acceptable answer.
First off, Line is amazing. I've been using their skis since I was 12. Never had a break break on me or anything. The worse thing I've had is a pair of Blends die on me from me skiing them too hard.
Surface is also amazing, I've never had a single problem with their durability, nor has anyone else I know.
I hate to see this thread turn into another "let's hate on surface for no reason" thread.
i haven't posted a thing about surface in the past 3 months+. you idiots can keep spending you (or your parents) hard earned money on whatever self-destructing skis you want.
i've kept my mouth shut about Surface ever since they lied about setting up an event in the PNW.
^you mad?
One last question than - would you and your boyfriend @mrsskier stand behind the statement that the industry is worse off now due to LINE and Surface?
And I will admit that after being a complete dyke about the BSI, you have kept your mouth shut. My beef is with your homie who continues to cunt up these threads.
when did i say that Line and Surface were hurting the industry?
Line for one is and always has been leading the industry with new technology even if it doesn't neccessarily work well (reactor bindings, ect.) or have any effect on the way the ski rides(carbon ollie bands, ect.). it means they're at least trying new things.
and surface is ruining the industry, where the fuck is this invitational they were talking about? i sure don't know where it's going to be held.
p.s-your name is fondle, don't talk to me about having a boyfriend.
