Ski edit/ movie filming techniques (e.g. Follow cams)
i don't have anything too technical but i think really careful and methodical use of a tripod is becoming underrated as gopros and follows become more popular
use some form of stabilization, for small cams this may mean two hands, or jut being careful, for larger ones it would be a tripod/glidecam/shoulder rig etc.
more for editing:
learn to color correct, match the footage to the song, dont feel the need to use every clip/go to the end of the song, use your best stuff, not just filler
and really common for skateboarding but turn off IS/steadyshot/stabilization or whatever your cam calls it when doing follow cams with a fish eye (if you don't it makes the vignette jump around)
these are just a few tips that i've heard that may help, but i think the biggest one is to ask for (and be willing to face) criticism. This will make the biggest improvements
