dude..seriously i dont see why theres so much hype with this girl. I mean for being 15 she totally kills it in every aspect, but aside from her awesome rail skills, better than almost every other girl, I dont think her jumping is quite there yet. And isnt nine queens more about jumps than rails? Needs some polishing imo, which I think and hope will occur soon.

I thinkjess warll and devin logan should definitely get on this nine queens shizle noooow.

Explain this to me. You have a pretty good substantial amount of professional womens skiers. Some of which are very good and some of which aren't. How come those who aren't good even for girls but are considered "pros" get payed shit tons of money while other girls who throwdown way harder get no credibility or recognition?

It is awesome to see Kelly ski. She definitely kills it.  On the other hand, if I were her dad, I think I'd be trying to have her not go so big.  Rails and all are one thing, but she is going so huge and landing way in the back seat.  I just don't want to hear that she had to have knee surgery before her 11th birthday.  It has nothing to do with her being a girl.  I'd be saying the same thing if a 9 year old boy was going huge and having their legs buckle on the landings.  She could be the next Sarah Burke and dominate for years if she doesn't trash herself.

C Royce it is affirmitive action, weak liberal personality types like you that will have kids that suck at sports and you will sit there and pump them up and say its okay, your awesome, your really killing it and blah blah blah when they are throwing slopestyle tricks from 2003. Time Machine runs.

if  you call athletes out on shit performences instead of pumping them up and getting stoked on garbage runs, they might be more likely to go out and ski harder or train harder.

In regards to the age thing...

Totally not surprised. Same is happening in women's snowboarding. I forgot her name, but the girl that pretty much swept the Roxy chicken Jam was 11 or 12 and right behind her was a 13 year old.

It's really easy to get into it at that age. Hell I was doing backflips off swingsets when I was 7 and doing way more crazy shit on a tramp than I can even comprehend now. Kinda why you meet 8 year old girls that do standing back tucks and doubles and huge layouts and what not. Little girls are made for gymnastics, so putting them on skis is really no surprise.

Sadly none of the athletes now really got into it when they were 8... they all raced or did gymnastics, quit and now the fact that they did gymnastics as a kid helps out a bit.

Little girls are the future! Can't wait till these little girls start getting full sized and through puberty. Then there will be some serious competition.

If she doesn't have a coach she probably will soon, and that will help her technicality as far as take offs and landings so she won't hurt herself. This girl is gonna destroy EVERYTHING.

I think the main reason some kids hate on girls skiing here is cuz they don't like to see girls better than they are. Keep it up tho, I'm so impressed on how much progression we've seen in just the past year.
And guys stop hating on girls just cuz you suck at skiing. I'm tired of going to the mountain and it being a huge sausage fest in the park.

Hope you're right.  From like 1:00 on when she starts hitting the jumps, almost all of them she lands way backseat and her knees get pushed outwards.  That means she doesn't have the leg strength to deal with the impact.  When she lands and goes straight to her butt and back; that is actually a great technique for when you go too big to help absorb the impact.  The difference is that she is doing it on pretty much every landing in this video.  The back flip was super clean, but almost everything else she has to leverage herself back up.

I can name probably 30 people I know personally who have destroyed their knees doing that exact same thing.  I am stoked for her to destroy everything except her knees and her chances of being at the top for years to come.  One of the sickest skiers I have ever known blew his knees out to point where doctors told him to quit skiing or he would never walk again.  This guy would launch anything and would have given Seth Morrison a run for his money. 

To all the sick groms out there.  You don't have to be hitting the biggest stuff in the park to have Steeze.

totally true..well said.

I think the problem with most male skiers is..

Some female skiers feel "entitled" to respect for some reason, regardless if 9 year olds are throwing down harder then them. Thats the problem...

Once you get older...you either go for it, or you dont.

*Think big picture here*

Now currently, we have the girls who "dont go for it" trying to talk shit on the girls that "go for it". Again, That is a problem for most male skiers.

Okei, this is my first post here on NS, I never thought i was going to write anything here, but what you just said here gave me a reason.

How can you say that girls learning tricks with noodle limbs? I bet that most of the pros from 20 years and up, have much more muscles than a regular 13-14 year old boy.. And can take a fall from a big jump juust fine.. Just because YOU had an low impact on a rail and fucked up YOUR ACL say more about your body, not girls in general..

I´m not hating on women skiing, just saying that they have to step up their game a little faster. Because i now they can!
