Burton buying out saga (rumor)

I know this is a terribly unreliable source but I was at timberline with my friend yesterday (who has saga) and as we are boarding the lift the lifty says
"oh hey man did you hear that burton bought off saga recently? It totally sucks, seems like everyones selling out now"
I cant find any posts about this anywhere which leads me to believe its untrue... but we asked him about it next time in line and he said basically the same thing and not anything as to wear he heard it from.
Anyway, he didnt seem like he was joking...but I guess that means he probaly got us good.
Sparknotes: can anyone confirm that burton actually did buy saga? If thats true saga could eventually be in retail stores.

Totally because getting paid to do what you truly love is considered selling out.
Dumbass.

I swear burton are in no place to go around buying out more companies.. They lost half their pro team an jake didnt even take a salary last year...

Dang it. Beat me to it. I was going to say that you may be wearing snowboard clothing, but at least doing it at the beginning of the season

Tim, you're an idiot. What's wrong with a skier wearing a burton jacket? It's no different than wearing a jacket made from any other company.

even if burton didn't own it, foursquare is still a snowboarding company...
