Golden Oldies

So the epic "Chads Gap" thread was bumped again(surpise surprise) and i realized that the last half of it is nothing but people commenting about how epic it is. This got me thinking. What if NS added a new forum section for the golden oldies that have become NS lore. The section could be the museum of NS and all threads would be closed to posting. The forum could also contain old screenshots of the NS homepage and login screen. I would love to hear everyones opinion on this.

Maybe not closed to posting but other than that I think it's a great idea. I sometimes enjoy sticking a post in one of those older threads, just to go back a couple pages a few weeks later and see my own post buried in there.

its come up before. usually the problem comes down to who designates what is a legendary thread? If the mods did, everyone would bitch about it because thats the way things work here, and if members picked, everyone would try to get their own "epic" 2 page thread about stupid shit to be in it.

yeah, but then people will start making threads just so there thread can be designated which will ruin the whole point

no no no the threads will be decided by a group of respectabele members(red/green names)and will be put in a mueseum type forum. you can look but not touch

How about a minnum of 50 pages to get in.   Keeps people from thinking they can just get any thread in.  I think it would be cool as hell

and they all have the usual problem. At most they go for about 15 pages, like the chad's gap thread, then have 40 pages of "omg so epic legendary awesome thread!"
