Fiberglass showing through topsheet

I have 09 Kung Fujas and around where the sidewall meets the top sheet there is fiberglass from the core exposed because the top sheet has chipped out a bit. Is this bad? Do I need to epoxy this or seal it in anyway?

as long as no wood is showing you should be fine.

right cause then it would rot. jw if the fiberglass would let water through
