Burton Heritage Raw Denim 2L Snowpants

I've been waiting for something like this for a few years now. Just got a pair yesterday at the Burton factory store. So stoked to start wearing them.

For those of you that don't know what raw denim is, it is basically jeans that are made to fade as you wear them. Instead of putting holes and fades in the jeans at the factory, and then chemically treating them so they don't fade, they just dye the cotton and leave it. Then as you wear the jeans over time they fade at the creases and folds around your body.

are they actually snow pants?

i thought those fake jean snow pants were tacky, but these took it to a whole new level....

They are 2L which is two layer fabric, the first layer is the raw indigo dyed cotton, and the inner layer is the waterproof layer. 10K/10K so yes they are snow pants.

I agree that the other screen printed "jeans" on goret-ex fabric that the snowboarders wore in the olympics were really fake. These are actually real cotton that will fade over time authentically.

Yeah, I have a few pairs.

Nudies Slim Jim, 2+ Years old, crotch ripped.

APC New standard about a year and a half old, absolutely perfect.

Nudies Average Joe, 5 months old still breaking them in.

haha i hope you're talking about these ski pants and not real raw jeans. if not, get learned. actually, don't. all you kids in your beat ass american eagle fits and cotton candy gr dunks just make me look that much better.

^^ i had a pair of slim jims, but the crotch blew out after about 18 months. i tried to patch it but it looked like shit so i just made them into jorts

Say what you want about AE jeans, but they make the most comfertable jeans you can buy (before being broken in of course). They look good and are relatively cheap for how long they last (I have never had to throw away a pair unless I outgrew them).

this may be true, i've honestly never put a pair on. however, for some people, this isn't the point. i buy a pair of jeans about every two years and wear them every single day. and if you think any mall-brand jeans are comfortable, you should really consider going raw. after a few months before the first wash they feel like a second skin. also, in my opinion, the fit and fades on most jeans out there are painfully tacky.

Haha good for you, you feel superior to 14 year olds because you have "real raw jeans" and wear a decent pair of shoes.

sorry i misunderstood you, i was confused because the post you quoted was about raw denim in general, not the snow pants specifically

and if it was about a superiority complex, wouldn't it make more sense to wear clothes with big logos on them so everybody would know how much they cost?

im perfectly happy with my jeans.
i have two pairs of blue jeans that i wear daily
then i have a nice pair of dark/black jeans that i wear out at night. these jeans with a sweater and some timbs, or my white nikes, i look fucking great. and none of these jeans cost more than $30. all from TJ Maxx

so fuck you and your expensive, gay jeans

except the difference between you and me is i don't care what you wear. i understand that everybody has priorities, and if you look how you want to look in cheap clothes then more power to you. i wish i could, i'd save a lot of money.

^and i also remember when i was 13. that's exactly what i did. i've never understood this internet argument that your opponent must be either retarded or younger than you because you disagree with what s/he is saying.

To get this thread back on topic, I've worn the Jeans probly 3 or 4 times, and they are already startnig to fade. Way faster than normal Raw Denim. I'm excited to see how they turn out by the end of the year. I'll post pics. I really think this could be a big trend in snowboarding and skiing. I think they're so cool.
