Seamstress putting zippers on a jackets sleeves?

did a quick search, didnt find much.

i bought a g suit this year, and it is the sickest jacket ive ever seen/worn. however, its really hot on warmer days. so i was tempted to cut the sleeves off entirely. the only thing holding me back was the fact that its a g suit jacket... and i paid a pretty penny for it.

so my question is. has anyone had experience with asking a professional seamstress to cut sleeves off a jacket and instal zippers? if so how much did it cost/any defects or bad results?

if you do taht make sure that you have a flap going overtop the zippers so water doesnt come into the jacket, and it shoulnt be that expensive, 100 at the most
and IMO gsuit vest looks ill, was gonna buy one from martini but he was selling it for like 400

I've never done it but I wouldn't recommend it... It sounds like an easy way to destroy a nice jacket.

If you were to do it, it would depend on how much the seamstress charged.
