kanye is a genious. everyone needs to hear this album, and i highly suggest watching the movie for runaway, yes, movie. its 35 minutes of pure genious.

Nah, had like 3, 4 real good songs. Other than that it's just another pretty good hip hop album. It's the same thing with the Eminem album. Sure, they're rapping about something now but they're doing something that hundreds of underground guys have been doing for 20 years, and not doing it overly well.

Well Em isn't doing it well but there's some great stuff on Kanye's album.

i watched runaway and here is a very condensed version of my would-be review

had good cinematography, sick shots of explosions and fireworks and stuff. i liked the animals in it and the bird-girl had amazing eyes. the music was good, i really liked the bon iver sample, probably the only good bon iver sample i have ever heard, and a lot of the other music in it was good

the ballerina scene dragged on forever, and it was just weird. i havent really got a clue what the film was about, the whole thing was weird as hell.

had strong points but IMO that shit was wack.

have you even listened to it? i havent heard much but i liked what i heard, and it has gotten unreal reviews. pitchfork (i know, pitchfork is fucked and pretty shitty) gave it a 10.0, im pretty sure its one of 3 albums to ever get 10.0. rolling stone gave it 5 stars im pretty sure, so theres gotta be something to it.

laughable.  i think you could make a case for every album he has made being the album of that year.  the man is a genius.  say what you will about him as a person (i agree with obama, kanye's a jackass).  but as an artist, he is gold.  gold, jerry, gold.

I disagree with your opinion. It's really good, top 5 all year for sure but not number 1. I'd take Graduation or Late Registration Ye over this Kanye. Songs that are good on here are Gorgeous (3rd verse is amazing), So Appalled, Devil in a New Dress, Hell of Life and Blame Game. I really don't know how people like the other shit like Monster and All of the Lights, which is absolute overkill by the way.

Onto you saying he is a "genius", what the fuck is so genius about the film Runaway. I can take shrooms and make a movie too bro. It's just him doing something different, weird and downright obnoxious and dick riders like you call him a genius for it.

And if you wanna know my opinions on the top albums of the year, Big K.R.I.T's K.R.I.T. Wuz Here or Cudder's Man on the Moon II.

You serious? MBDTF is probably one of the best albums this year. It has some fucking good tracks for sure.
