179 or 189 FUJAS?

So im about 6' 2" ,185lbs, and looking to get the Kung Fujas but i cant decide on size. My buddy in Mammoth says to get the 189 and that the 179s would just dive on me in the pow, but my local shop owner says go 179 and that 189 is way to big for me. Im not sure what size to get so anyone who has these skis or any relative info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm 6'2 200. I ride the 189's and have for years. If you mount your skis 2 to 2.5 from center you will appreciate the extra lenght. I ski Mammoth and the stability of the 189 on steep runs is like no other. I dont do 270's onto boxes or rails, but they spin fine for 3's and 5's.

Definitely the 189.  179 at your size would be extremely small.

i have the 189's. definitely get them the 179's will be to small.
