crab_pretzelok so Ive tried both. i found more comfort with goggles over because I could leave the pads in and they fit better than a beanie, also its more practical because you can put your goggle up whenever you want, but this covers up those stickers plastered all over your helmet.
when under, i had to tape over all the velcro spots for the pads so they didn't fray my hat or goggle strap. it is also more annoying to put on and a little less comfortable, but it seems more stylish to have goggles under the helmet with the ear pads removed, and i see most pros with goggles and a hat underneath their helmet. whats better?????
I've always put it over the helmet. I recently removed the ear pads and started wearing them under. I realized that wearing them under the helmet was making the goggles slide down, which got really annoying and uncomfortable.
I purchased a park helmet and thought it would be better, but no, still pretty annoying. So I said fuck it, and put the goggs over the helmet.
Honestly, do what's more comfortable. No one really gives a shit how you wear your goggles anyways, and the comfort of having the goggles under or over the helmet really depends on your gear and even face shape at this point (like your helmet, beanie, face mask, goggles...). So it doesn't really matter as long as you're comfortable.
